Pumping Consults (Telehealth)-  from anywhere

I'll help you pick the best pump for you, do a personalized flange fitting, create a pumping schedule and maximize your milk collection. Other topics we can cover: exclusive pumping, back to work planning, pumping for NICU baby or multiples, pumping and nursing. (45-60 mins)

Virtual Consults (Telehealth)-  from anywhere

I offer a variety of customized online sessions with prenatal lactation planning, pumping education, feeding support, latch help and more (45-60 mins).

In-home Consults for Maine Residents - Greater Bangor Area

Enjoy individualized support in the privacy of your home from a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). - Serving Old Town, Orono, Bangor, Brewer, Orrington. Travel fee may apply. Other areas please inquire.

Every session is personalized to address your goals and concerns. Whether it’s improving your latch and feeding technique, addressing pain and discomfort, help with pumping, a mixed feeding plan or a longer visit with tips for soothing, bathing and sleeping, I am here for you.

What to Expect

When you meet with Kassi

I design a customized session for you to discuss your specific needs.
Each visit comes with 1 week of follow up via email or text.

Your visit may include one or more of the following:

Lactation support:


  • Discuss your concerns or previous feeding struggles
  • Observing a feeding or pumping session
  • Suggestions for improved latch and positioning to ensure your baby is getting as much milk as possible and to improve your comfort.
  • Pre- and post-feed weight to evaluate how much milk your baby eats (for in person visits).
  • Customized plan for reaching your baby feeding goals

Pumping:


  • Help picking the best pump for you
  • Overview and assembly of pump and its' parts 
  • Personalized Flange fitting 
  • Instruction on cleaning the pump and its parts  
  •  Introduction to pumping schedules  
  • Exclusive pumping, back to work planning, pumping and nursing 
  • Overview of safely handling and storing breast milk

Baby Care:


  • Overview of newborn behaviors and healthy feeding and sleeping schedules
  •  When and how to introduce a bottle and/or pacifier 
  • Demonstration of bathing, swaddling and soothing
  • Discuss your newborn questions with a Registered Nurse and IBCLC

Insurance Coverage?

Lactation consults should be covered by insurance, but each plan varies.

If insurance reimbursement is important to you, please contact your insurance company in advance to confirm coverage for lactation services.

I partner with The Lactation Network (TLN), a company that handles insurance billing for lactation consultants. They bill your insurance and use a portion of what they receive to pay me. For clients with insurance please click here and you should hear back from TLN within approximately one day with confirmation of coverage.  

If you choose not to use The Lactation Network, or your insurance carrier does not work with with them, payment is due in full at the time of service. I will provide you with a specialized invoice (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance carrier to request reimbursement. Insurance coverage is not guaranteed with this method, and I do not refund fees based on insurance companies refusing to reimburse.  

I accept Venmo, Cash, Checks, FSA/HSA payments, & some major credit cards.

Please note that I do not bill insurance directly.

Investment

  • 1:1 Consultation: $250   
  • 1 month of virtual lactation support: $1,000 One month of lactation support:  Includes a weekly 1:1 virtual consult and ongoing support via text & email during that month, plus free access to my Baby Feeding Course

In order to protect all of the families and little ones that I work with, I am fully vaccinated, continue to wear a mask and gloves to all visits. I also screen all clients prior to booking any in person appointment.
