Hi I'm Kassi!
I am a Clinical Educator, RN, IBCLC Lactation Consultant, Doula and Mamá.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish.
When I started working as a doula, I felt shaky at best while trying to support my clients with baby feeding.
The certification path I took certainly isn't the right one for everyone, and it isn't the only way to feel confident helping families with breastfeeding.
I am extremely passionate about educating birthworkers and providers about lactation and baby feeding. WHY?! Because I believe birthworkers are the missing puzzle piece to more families feeling empowered on their feeding journeys.
I know in my heart that the more lactation knowledge EVERY person on the care team has, the more families are going to feel successful and less alone as they navigate the challenges of feeding their babies.
In my spare time, I love to sit with a warm cup of coffee (or cold...I am a mom now), practice yoga, spend time outdoors, and travel the world.

Can I get a lactation certification after completion?
Bridge is an aligned training program for the Certified Lactation Support Specialist™ (CLSS™) Credential through the The Birthwork Institute.
Certification (Optional): Application process and exam are offered separately through The Birthwork Institute™.
Will I receive a certificate of completion/ CEUS ?
Yes.
Doulas: approved for 12 CEUS though ICEA.
Nurses: approved for up to 15 CEUS through ANCC
Once you’ve completed all the required Classes/ Modules, you’ll receive a certificate of completion within 3 business days. If you don’t receive one, please email us at info@kassireyes.com
Can you explain who this program is for?
If you are a professional who works with new families in any capacity, this is for you!
Birth and postpartum doulas, Midwives, OB/Postpartum nurses, Lactation Educators, CLCs, Child Birth Educators, Infant Care Specialists ect.
If you are a PCP, OB, or Pediatrician - I would be SO HAPPY to have you here too.
I already took a doula class/BF basics class/CLC program. Will I learn anything new here?
Yes and yes. Most doula classes, breastfeeding basics classes, and other lactation trainings go into the normal course of breastfeeding, latching, positioning ect. Most don't dive into lactation challenges and troubleshooting and scope or dive into the world of pumping.
What type of client will I learn to support?
Whether their plan is direct latching, exclusive breastfeeding, combo/mixed feeding, exclusive pumping, supplementing, bottle feeding. If your client is planning to provide their baby with ANY human milk, you can become an amazing resource for them and this program will show you how. You'll also learn what is within your scope and when to refer out.
When are the sessions and what if I have to miss something?
Bridge modules are prerecorded so you can watch or listen at your pace, whenever is convenient to you.
You will have 6 months of access to all course materials. (extensions available)
